Tyler Shields Summer 2015 Collection
Guy Hepner is pleased to present Tyler Shields Summer 2015 Collection, an exhibition filled with provocative and unique photographs including powerful messages in response to the latest American history and pop culture.
Thousands were captivated and motivated by Tyler Shield’s Pointe, one of Shield’s most shared and liked images on Facebook and Instagram. This shockingly beautiful photo powerfully portrays how the American dream of success is not possible with out sacrifice, hard work and a few bumps and bruises along the way.
“Freedom is no longer a dream, it’s the Law!” exclaims Shields to the public as he displays one of his most recent photographs, Pride. This glamorous, color-saturated photograph is the artist’s most alluring interpretation of the iconic moment in history when gay marriage is legalized nationwide.
Photographs Bunny (above), starring the gorgeous model Page Ruth and A Bat Girl (below), inspired by the classic American film Batman, are one of Shield’s more playful and seductive photographs. These photos bring a sexy yet elegant twist on modern culture, making them irresistible to look at!
Tyler Shields is not only a photographer, but a film director and writer, best known for his images of Hollywood celebrities. Born in Jacksonville, FL, Shields began his career as a professional inline skater, competing in the 1999 and 2000 X Games, and touring with Tony Hawk in 2003. He got his start as a photographer by releasing his images and videos on MySpace, and soon afterward, began doing gallery shows. Known for his controversial and violent images, and frequently drawing criticism from animal rights activists and women’s groups, his photographs capture much of the most over-the-top, brutal aspects of contemporary celebrity culture.
