Paintings by Geoffrey Bouillot
“The End Of The Road” is comprised of eight contemporary artists, practicing in painting and sculpture whose works present an acute awareness of the self, identity, and the surrounding cultures and histories that inform each artist in their compositions. Nearing inflections points in various aspects of life, “The End Of The Road” works to consider what grounds us, frightens us, inspires us, and drives the engine of the collective consciousness we share. The figurative works and the accompanying fantasies, characters, and allusions evoke a powerful sense of reflection, both on the past and present, examining the human experience in all its forms from the innocent to the profane.

Creation (After Michelangelo) by Adam Lister
Through the macro lens of history, subliminal narratives have long guided the view we share of the world, eachother, and ourselves, creating power structures and norms that rule over everyday experiences and decisions. As the curtain is pulled back, revealing who we are at our core, what is the next route we take? Where do we go from here? What happens as the darker undercurrents that eb our cultural trajectories become readily apparent, yet the guardrails that have been put in place buckle with each passing turn?
