About this work
Mr. Brainwash, the pseudonym of French-born, Los Angeles-based artist Thierry Guetta, has established himself as one of the most commercially successful and culturally provocative figures to emerge from the contemporary street art movement. Catapulted into international prominence following his appearance in Banksy's Academy Award-nominated documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, Mr. Brainwash has cultivated a distinctive visual language that bridges the gap between street art, pop art, and mass-market appeal. His works are held in private collections worldwide, and his large-scale exhibitions have drawn record attendance in major cities from Los Angeles to London. Now Is The Time (Pink) exemplifies the artist's signature approach to image-making, combining bold graphic elements with an urgent, declarative message that resonates with contemporary audiences. The work employs a vibrant pink palette that commands immediate visual attention while maintaining the raw, layered aesthetic that defines Mr. Brainwash's practice. The titular phrase functions both as proclamation and provocation, encouraging viewers to embrace the present moment with the same audacity that characterises the artist's career trajectory. This synthesis of commercial accessibility and street art sensibility has made Mr. Brainwash a defining voice in twenty-first-century popular art. This work is numbered 9 of 75 in the edition, measuring 33 1/2 by 30 inches. The limited edition format ensures collectability while maintaining accessibility for emerging collectors seeking entry into the contemporary art market. Guy Hepner is pleased to offer this work for acquisition. For pricing, availability, and further information, please contact the gallery directly.

About Mr. Brainwash
Mr. Brainwash is the alias of Thierry Guetta, a French-American contemporary artist born in 1966 in Garges-lès-Gonesse, France. He moved to Los Angeles at 15. There, an obsession with filming led him into the world of street art, where he documented artists including his cousin Invader, Shepard Fairey and Banksy.
Encouraged by Banksy to make his own work, Guetta adopted the name Mr. Brainwash. His debut exhibition, Life Is Beautiful (2008), was staged in a converted Los Angeles TV studio and became a landmark event. He gained international recognition after appearing in Banksy's Oscar-nominated 2010 documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop.
His work blends street art, Pop Art and celebrity culture through bold stencils, spray-paint drips and bright color. He remixes icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein alongside uplifting slogans like Life Is Beautiful and Follow Your Heart. He has designed album covers for Madonna and Rick Ross. In 2022 he opened the Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills.
Today his paintings, sculptures and limited edition prints are collected worldwide.
