A 14 meter white neon installation by artist Martin Creed. A site-specific work applied to the pediment of the Orphan's Asylum, East London, built in 1826: a derelict fragment of a once much larger building. Known as "the portico project", the installation was initiated and curated by Inrid Swenson at The Pier Trust. Intended as a temporary installation between March and June 1999, its run was extended another six months due to public affection and support.

PUBLIC PROJECTS AND COLLABORATIONS

Chris Bracey has had in integral role in many of the most recognized and acclaimed light art collaborations and public projects of the last 25 years. He has worked side by side with artists such as Martin Creed, David LaChapelle and Alexander McQueen, a testament to not only his talents as a light artist, but also his unquestionable position as the field's most prolific designer, fabricator and artist.
