We are pleased to announce that David Drebin will be the new cover image for Phillips de Pury & Company Photography Auction this April! David Drebin beat off competition from Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon and Irving Penn to secure the coveted position. The photo above is a detail of the work that will grace the front cover.

Drebin’s work can be found all around the world in numerous galleries and various media publications. His photographs show subtle detail to create images to make the viewer feel as though they are peeking in to a private moment. As Drebin says, they are “funny, sexy, and sad or at least a combination of two or three of those characteristics.”
