The heart and soul of every successful photographer is a personal project of passion, a body of work that shows "who you are" visually and reveals your emotions. As I look around at the amazing personal projects of others, I see that it doesn't matter what the subject is, whether turnips, wars or naked athletes. What is imperative is the quality of the work and the ability to engage others emotionally. Nomad is my personal driving force. Created after studying my disturbing apartheid-like experience in the northwest of Australia, it is based on the cultural collision of ancient and modern cultures through artistic interpretations. What does a naked woman swimming underwater with dolphins have to do with an indigenous man who is a survivor of genocide? Everything to me. This is a glimpse into my Nomad world and the subject of a full book by itself in the near future.
