RANKIN

Rankin, best known for his artistic abilities in photography, publishing, and most recently, film directing, has become a well-known and reputable name in the art world, by starting Dazed and Confused in 1991. He is also attributed to capturing numerous iconic shots of celebrities as well as images addressing such issues as domestic violence and body image for charities and commercial projects. Some charity campaigns that he is best known for include Amnesty International, Everyman, Special Olympics, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Youth Music.
Rankin began publishing books in 2006, starting with “TuuliTastic- A Photographic Love Letter,” and most recently published “Visually Hungry,” a book documenting his career from over two decades of work, in 2007.

When asked about his debut American solo show, “Eye Candy,” which displayed a selection nude female images, he said, “There’s no point in dressing it up, I love women and I love taking photos, it’s more like a fantastic hobby than a job.”

His ability to show individual personality in all of his subjects, sets Rankin’s work apart from the rest. He currently has numerous exhibitions being displayed in Moscow and Paris as well as over eight books in pre production. Rankin is a work-o-holic at its finest.
